Yes, I really did get my cookbooks on fire when cooking! And even thought, at one time, that baking soda and baking powder were the same thing!
Hubby keeps me supplied in dishwasher machines as I am prone to cutting my fingers when I wash glasses (4 times so far; 18 stitches total)
